TL;DR
- Start with a consultation request. Tell us about your business, the services you need, and your timeline.
- Monthly services are month to month. Each one starts with a 45-minute kickoff call and access for us.
- Website projects start with a quote, a signed contract, and a deposit.
- The Digital Oversight Partnership starts with an application.
How to Request a Quote
- Use our form. The consultation request form asks for your company name, contact details, the services you’re interested in, budget details, and when you want to start.
- Or email us. Put your project details right in the email.
Before a call, we may ask a few quick questions:
- What your company does, and your current website
- A short summary of the project: background, goal, and timeline
- Who makes the final decision, and your budget range
What Happens After You Reach Out
- We contact you to schedule a call.
- We talk through your project on a video call. See How Do Meetings and Consultation Calls Work?
- You get a written quote after the call.
Getting Started on a Monthly Service
WordPress Support Services, the Webmaster Retainer, “Marketing Tasks Off Your Plate,” and business email are all month to month, with no contract. Every monthly plan starts with a 45-minute kickoff call. What each one needs from you:
- WordPress Support Services: an Administrator login to WordPress and delegate access to your hosting (a separate login just for us, for everything except purchases). We also need your domain registrar details and the logins used to buy your theme and premium plugins. Setup takes up to 2 business days after we receive your logins.
- Webmaster Retainer: an Administrator login to WordPress and delegate access to your hosting. Bring your list of changes to the kickoff call, so we can set your priorities.
- “Marketing Tasks Off Your Plate”: access to your Google Business Profile, your website, and up to 5 social media accounts. Plus up to 5 services to focus on, up to 5 keywords, your logo and colors, and any photos you want used. See Can You Take Marketing Tasks Like Social Media Posts Off My Plate?
- Business email: how many mailboxes you need, and access to wherever your domain’s DNS is managed, usually your registrar. See Can You Set Up and Manage Business Email on My Domain?
Starting a Website Project
This covers new websites, redesigns, and online stores.
- Contract details. We need your business’s legal name (including LLC or Inc.), its legal address, and whether you want support billed monthly or yearly.
- Sign, then pay the deposit. Sign the proposal and contract, then pay the deposit on the online invoice we email you.
- Kickoff. A recorded video call to start, then we build on a development server (a private workspace, so your live site isn’t affected).

Starting AI Training
AI Training for Small Businesses is a live, hands-on session for 1 to 3 people. Schedule your session within 90 days of purchase. See our AI Training for Small Businesses page.
Applying for the Digital Oversight Partnership
The Digital Oversight Partnership works differently. It has a 1-year contract, and it starts with an application. Every application is reviewed for fit. If it’s a match, the next step is a brief conversation.
What Webmaster For Hire Recommends
- Start with the service you need most. Most clients start with one service and add others later.
- Have your logins ready. Setup starts as soon as we receive your access.
:: Common Questions ::
How Long Is a Website Design Quote Good For?
Our website design quotes are typically good for six months.
Can I Send You My Project Scope File by Email?
Paste the details into the body of your email instead. For security, we don’t open attachments or links from new contacts.
Can I Buy a Domain or SSL Certificate Without a Plan?
Yes. Search for and buy domains through our domain store. Our Advanced SSL Certificate is sold on its own, too.
