TL;DR
- Growing businesses that want help with their website, vendors, and online risk, without adding a full-time hire.
- Service businesses, online stores, and nonprofits, from law firms to restaurants.
- WordPress is what we build on. We’ve worked on other platforms, and we’ll tell you the trade-offs.
- Online stores and page-builder sites, yes. We build and maintain both.
Who We Work With
Webmaster For Hire works with growing businesses that need one accountable point of contact for their website. Our work includes:
- Construction and home service businesses
- Finance and legal firms
- Medical and beauty practices
- Nonprofits and ministries
- Hospitality, travel, and restaurants
- Real estate
- Landscape architects and gardeners
- Online stores
Everything is remote, so location doesn’t matter. We work with clients across the U.S. and in other countries. See examples on our Our Work page.
Who We’re a Good Fit For
- A good fit: owners who don’t have enough website work for a full-time hire but need someone responsible for it.
- A good fit: businesses with a marketing agency that need someone on the website side. See How Should Your Webmaster Work With Your Other Vendors?
- Not a fit: anyone shopping mainly for full-service SEO or digital PR. Those aren’t services we offer.
- Not a fit: online stores on a do-it-yourself or startup budget.
Do You Only Work on WordPress?
We build mostly on WordPress. We’ve worked on hosted website builders too, and we’ve moved many businesses off them.
- Why WordPress: you own your data, and you’re not locked into one company’s system.
- Already on another platform? We can make limited edits, and we’ll lay out the trade-offs of staying or moving. The final call is yours.
Online Stores and Page Builders
- Online stores: We build and maintain stores on WordPress. See our eCommerce Website Development page.
- Page builders: A page builder is a drag-and-drop design tool inside WordPress. We build with them and maintain sites that use them. We’ve worked with a vast number of the builders out there, including but not limited to:
- Elementor
- WP Bakery
- Divi by Elegant Theme
- Fusion Builder
- Beaver Builder
- Cornerstone
- UX Builder
- Payment forms need bot protection. Without it, fake orders from bots can get your merchant account (the account that processes your card payments) shut down.
- Conflicts take time. When a theme, a page builder, and a plugin don’t get along, sorting it out can take retainer hours.
What Webmaster For Hire Recommends
- Choose a platform you can leave. If you can’t take your content with you, you don’t fully own it.
- Fix before you rebuild. A site that works can often be improved instead of replaced.
:: Common Questions ::
Can You Take Over a Website Someone Else Built?
Yes. We review it and improve it first. We only rebuild when a site genuinely can’t be saved. See Can You Review My Website and Tell Me What Needs Fixing?
Do You Work With Businesses Outside Florida?
Yes. We’ve worked with national and international clients over the years.
