TL;DR
- Yes. That’s what our Webmaster Retainer is for, even on the smallest plan.
- Send it by email or a shared folder. Final text, photos, flyers, and details.
- Or do it yourself. We’ll show you how.
- Big pages can get a template. We can set them up so adding something new is a matter of filling in the blanks.
What We Can Add or Change
- News, awards, and press. New announcements, press coverage, and recognition.
- Photos and images. New photos, banner swaps, and product images you provide.
- Events. New events on your existing calendar, and updates to event details and flyers.
- New pages. Landing pages (single pages built for one purpose, like a promotion) with your content.
- Products and coupons. New products, updated descriptions, and coupon codes.
- Video. Videos added to YouTube and your website.
All of this runs through the Webmaster Retainer. See What’s Included in a WordPress Support Plan or Webmaster Retainer?
What Webmaster For Hire Recommends When You Send Changes
- Send the final text. Make sure it’s the most accurate version, so we only build it once.
- Put the photos in one folder. Tell us which photo goes where, and which one is the large, main image.
- Give us lead time. Two business days’ notice is short. The earlier we hear about a deadline, the better.
How Long It Takes
We typically complete requests within 8 business days, and often faster. Requests are handled in the order they come in. If a change needs more time than your plan has left that month, we’ll tell you before any extra work begins.
Pages You Update Often
For big pages you’ll keep adding to, we can set up a template (a pre-built layout with fields to fill in). After that, adding something new is a matter of filling in the blanks, whether we do it or you do.
For bigger projects, we can split the work. You handle the parts you’re comfortable with, and we handle the rest. That keeps the hours down.
Common Questions
Can I Make These Changes Myself?
Yes. Some owners handle their own text, photos, and events. We’ll walk you through the back end (the admin area where you log in and edit). See Should I Edit My Website Myself or Have My Webmaster Do It?
What If My Changes Take More Time Than My Plan Has?
We’ll let you know before any extra work begins. You can also move up to a bigger plan for that month.
Have Changes Waiting?
See the plans on our Webmaster Retainer page, or request a consultation to talk through what you need.
