# How Do I Find the Link to a Page on My Website?

## TL;DR

- **A page's link is in your browser's address bar.** Open the page and copy it.
- **Share the link instead of retyping the page.** Your page stays the one place to keep up to date.
- **Partners promoting you?** Send them the direct link to the page.
- **Can't find it?** Open your Pages list in WordPress and click View under the page's name.

## How Do I Get the Link to a Page?

1. **Go to the page** on your website.
2. **Click the address bar** at the top of your browser.
3. **Copy the full address,** starting with https://.
4. **Paste it** into your email, post, or document.

In WordPress, you can also open your Pages list and click View under the page's name. The page's address also shows in its settings, where it's called the permalink. To put that link on a button, see [How Do I Add or Change a Link on My Website?](/knowledge-base/updating-your-website/add-change-link-website/)

## Why Share a Link Instead of Copying the Page?

When someone asks for your bio or your services, send the page. If you copy the text into an email, that copy goes out of date the next time you update your site. A link always shows the current version.

When one client asked how to share their About page, Beth's answer was simple: "Your About page's address is the link you'd send."

## What Link Should Partners Use?

Send them the direct link to the exact page you want promoted, not just your homepage. If you're not sure which page fits, choose the one that matches what they're promoting, like a service or an event.

## What Webmaster For Hire Recommends

- **Keep a short list of your key links** handy: home, about, services, contact, and booking.
- **Test a link before you share it.** Open it in a private browser window to see what others will see.
